Yesterday Aiden had his two month shots. When we got home he was fine, but around 9 PM he got REALLY upset and was screaming like crazy while I was trying to feed him! Turns out the injection sites on both legs were bright red and swollen; he was obviously in pain and I felt so bad for brushing against them on accident before I knew he was in pain. He was very uncomfortable for a couple hours, but then passed out for several hours. We thought it would be a very long night (I also had a fever and was feeling horrible), but it turned out to be one of the best we've had. We all got some much needed rest!
Today he made us very proud. He was on his playmat for tummy time and I noticed him pushing his legs under himself, actually scooting himself forward, which he hadn't really done much of yet. I reached for my camera just in time because next....he rolled over! It was truly amazing and probably a huge fluke (technically he's only one day old), but it was awesome! I just can't believe I caught it on video! It caught him by surprise and he started crying, so I went to rescue him. Since the day he was born he has always liked to have leg room. He would always have at least one leg straight out and very stiff. I think that's what he was doing when all of this happened, so maybe he has a leg up on this rolling over stuff (no pun intended!)!
FYI: If you click on one of the pictures I post, it will take you to a larger version of the picture, as well as our complete photo album with a LOT more pictures! The last one posted for today is the video of him scooting and rolling over, so make sure you click on it! Enjoy!
