Today Aiden is five months old! It is hard to believe that it's been 5 months, probably because his first two months were spent in the NICU and not here at home with us. Yet at the same time, all of that hospital stuff seems so long ago, maybe because we are having so much fun with him! Every day I look at him and I'm amazed at how big he is and I thank God for him. It is still so hard to believe that he's our son and that we both love him as much as we do. Who knew that this kind of love existed?! Truly amazing.
Last week we had professional pictures taken for the first time. I had been wanting to get some taken but just hadn't gotten around to it. I regret so much not having them done when he was much smaller, like when we first brought him home. I don't think I will ever forgive myself for not doing that. But, now we have some amazing pictures and we plan on having them done several times each year. I ended up finding out that the mom of one of my students from two years ago does photography on the side, so she came to our house for the shoot. She did an AMAZING job and we are so happy with the outcome. Here is a link to the pictures she has posted so far, but I believe there are more to come and she is going to post them on Picasa so that we can have prints made on our own:

He now grabs just about everything in sight and keeps ahold of it. He is always happy and likes to show us by smiling and laughing at everything! Today he rolled over three times in about one minute, but as soon as I got the camera he was done, of course!
I took this picture because he is outgrowing his Aggie outfits...
Last Friday we took a trip to a town about an hour away to take Shiloh to the vet and also for a little surprise get together for Andy's birthday at the brewery. I had planned this weeks ago and wanted to go closer to his birthday, but the vet only had this day open. A few of Andy's good friends were on a backpacking trip and couldn't join us, but several good friends were able to meet us for some yummy food (and beer!) and a walk along the river.
