The Death Valley wildflowers were supposed to be spectacular this year, due to the ‘heavy’ winter rains, so we planned Aiden’s first overnight camping trip last Saturday. The winds in Ridgecrest were really strong, but we were hoping they wouldn’t be too strong once we arrived in Death Valley. Unfortunately, we had no such luck! We attempted to set the tent up twice, but since we got a much bigger tent for this trip, it just wasn’t working. We hung out with our friends for awhile, while Aiden played hard in the sand and rocks, a first since Mommy isn’t a fan! He had so much fun and was a filthy mess. We got to see a few sights and some wildflowers, but we didn’t get to see most of the things we had planned on. I think Andy was the most bummed because he really wanted to take some cool pictures. At least we attempted to go camping with a toddler and now we know we can do it! Hopefully next time we’ll have better weather! Enjoy our pictures of our trip, and a few others we’ve taken this week of our busy, BUSY boy!

We were enjoying the sunset from a very windy hilltop.
Beautiful!
